Born and raised in Lake Oswego, Oregon, I found my way to Dallas, Texas, at the age of 19, where I embarked on a career in IT. My journey into technology began unexpectedly when my boss handed me a computer and a couple of software packages, saying, “Learn how to use this. I think it’s the next big thing.” I dove in and enjoyed the early days of tech innovation, but I soon realized there was a deeper calling—something that truly made a difference and helped people.
In 1999, I returned to Lake Oswego, driven by a desire to serve and connect. I began volunteering at a local cat shelter, fueled by my passion for animals, and was soon hired as a veterinary assistant. While I loved caring for the cats, I struggled with the emotional toll of loss, revealing a compassionate nature that also made me aware of my own need for healing.
Coming from a background marked by trauma, abuse, addiction, and mental health challenges, I faced a low point in my life—dealing with poor health and persistent pain. My search for relief led me to explore various healing modalities, culminating in discovering Ortho-Bionomy. Though my first session was subtle, I felt an undeniable sense of well-being and motivation, and I began experiencing physical relief and emotional release. As I continued treatments, I realized this work resonated deeply with my purpose.
Eager to deepen my understanding and expand my ability to help others, I trained extensively in Ortho-Bionomy, working with over 500 clients during my certification process. I proudly earned my practitioner’s license in March 2025. Ortho-Bionomy has transformed my life, helping me heal and find purpose, and I am now committed to sharing its benefits with others. I am currently advancing my skills through the Advanced Practitioner Training Program.
At 65, I am excited to start my own practice and continue embracing the gifts of life, health, and service. When I have rare free moments, I love cuddling with my cats Fred and Ginger, expressing myself through oil painting, and reaching out to support those suffering from trauma, addiction, and mental health challenges.
For me, Ortho-Bionomy is more than a profession—it's my purpose, and I am grateful every day for the journey that brought me here.

In the fall of 2022, my youngest child went through physical therapy for chronic back pain. While I watched, the physical therapist spent time digging into the intercostal muscles between their ribs, and my child lay there crying because it hurt so badly. I knew there had to be a better way to ease the pain.
I met an Ortho-Bionomy Practitioner a few years previous to this time, and learned a bit about the work. It’s amazing how those little moments of interaction stick in a person’s mind and resurface when the time is right. We crossed paths again, and I scheduled my first session in March of 2023. Before the session was over, I knew that I wanted to learn how to do the work. Two years have passed since then, and I have now graduated from the Rocky Mountain Ortho-Bionomy Center with over 500 hours of training to become a Certified Practitioner of Ortho-Bionomy.
Over the course of the last two years, I have learned an immensely valuable set of skills that harnesses my natural talents and allows me to support client’s bodies in a way that I never could have dreamed of before. In that time, I was also diagnosed with fibromyalgia and inflammatory arthritis in my lower spine. While I don’t like how familiar I have become with chronic pain, that familiarity has allowed me to understand how it affects people every day, and it has deepened my love for Ortho-Bionomy in a way that could not have happened any other way.
